Class: Ashtanga Yoga, Mysore Style

About This Class: Ashtanga Yoga is a moving meditation that is focused on the breath, and aides in purifying the body through Agni, or internal heat. The Mysore Practice is individualized by a student's asana level, postures given on by one as you progress through the practice. The teachers role in the Mysore room is to build the fundamentals of the Ashtanga Practice, answer questions, and be there to guide and give additional postures. This class is open to all levels, including beginners. Students do not need to be present for the full class and can leave once their practice is complete. It is recommended that students attend the Intro into Ashtanga Yoga class prior to Mysore, although this is not needed. Please bring a yoga mat and towel. Dress in comfortable clothing.
About Your Teacher: Ashlee has mastered the primary series in one year under her teacher who practiced with Sharath Jois in Mysore, India. She has attended multiple workshops to gain an understanding of the practice and sequence. She practices daily and believes in its personal transformation.
